Sportsmanship is promoted through various indoor and outdoor games. The college has facility for games such as Chess, Carrom, Table tennis, Cricket, Badminton, Volley-ball, Karate, Taekwondo and also Athletics. There is a gymnasium for the students and staff. There is also the provision of yoga instructor. Professional coaches are appointed to train the students in various sports. The gymkhana committee also organizes tournaments for staff.

Mission:

• To encourage female students to be self-reliant and economically independent.
• To instill positive self-esteem and confidence in the female students so that they can take
the right decision in and for-their lives.
• Spreading awareness among the students about the social, legal and constitutional rights
of women in order to prevent the exploitation based on gender.
• Making females cognizant about different kinds of violence: sexual, physical and mental
and to further equip them with the knowledge and strength to fight against them.
• Creating awareness about the need of gender equality.
• Providing equal career opportunities to all the genders.
• Eliminating deep rooted beliefs of gender bias and discrimination.

OBJECTIVE OF WDC:
• To create social awareness about the problems of women and in particular regarding gender
discrimination.
• To develop the self confidence of Women.
• To guide about Women Welfare Laws.
• To assert the importance of spiritual, economic, social, racial and gender equality.
• To highlight the importance of health and hygiene.
• To directs Women’s role in the society. To develop multidisciplinary approach for the overall
personality development.
• To organize seminars, workshops relating to women development.
• To prevent sexual harassment and to promote general well-being of female students, teaching
and non teaching women staff of the College.

Aim

  • The career Guidance and Placement cell has been set up in the college for the benefit of the students. Primary objective of the cell is to provide the much needed life skills to students and help them to find job placements. 
  • For students to develop positive attitudes towards study and work. For students to evaluate their own strengths and to build on their own areas for development.
  • To help students fully engage in career planning. For students to understand and develop the skills that are required to be successful in their future pathway.
  • To keep pace with the present stiff competition, the placement cell has undertaken several measures like organizing seminars, mock interviews, soft skills, communicative skills, personality development , corporate culture/etiquette and leadership skills to the students.
  • Our college attracts some of the best names in the industry who know the quality of human resource that we create. The college has integrated the Career Guidance with the Placement cell. The Cell offers guidance to students regarding different path ways in higher education and other career opportunities apart from placement support.

Events

IIHT

Placement drive on “Career Opportunities in IT” was conducted in PVG College on 7th March 2020. Mr.Nitin Sinha along with Radhika came for the drive.

Totally 52 students attended both aptitude and interview.

Android WorkShop

The workshop on “Android ” was held on 11th of February 2020 and was conducted by IIHT( India Institute of Hardware Technology) Company. The workshop was specially organized for third year of BSc.IT and BSc.CS students 

Carrier guidance on MMS

The carrier guidance seminar on Masters of Management Studies/Master of Business Administration was held in our college on 03 February 2020 and was conducted by the Sinhgad Institute of Business Management Mumbai. This seminar was specially organized for third year students of all stream.
